FAQs
How can I participate in RideTogether?
You can enable or disable RideTogether and the associated data transfer between riders at any time in the settings. You will then also no longer participate in the points system.
You can separately turn on and off the additional sharing of live data. Only if you share your own live data will you also see the live data of your fellow riders. These data are displayed to your fellow riders, but are not permanently stored on their devices.
How does the points system work?
For every ride, you earn points. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you go. If you’re riding alone, you get one point. For every fellow rider, there’s an additional point. At the end of the season, you see how you compare to your fellow riders.
Points are only awarded for rides lasting at least 10 minutes and covering at least 5 kilometers to ensure that only substantial rides are considered.
How are points synchronized?
Your current points is not stored centrally, but is synchronized from device to device with your fellow riders. Fellow riders from previous rides will only receive an update of your points when you ride with them again. This gives you full control over your data.
What are the requirements for RideTogether?
You will automatically be connected with fellow riders who have also enabled RideTogether. No further setup is required. Minimum requirement is an iPhone 11 or newer.
